Malaysia tour was wonderful:
During Spet. 1 to 10 of 2010 I visited Malaysia. Paticipated in Senior group of chess tournament organized by DATO ARTHUR TAN CHESS CENTRE. It was very nice experience playing in tournament after a long gap. Here I met “Dato Tan Chin Nam” Dato is award of honour by Malaysian Government. Like “Padam Bhusan” in India. Dato impressed me for his activeness and sprit even in age of 85 +. He is true well wisher of young generation. I seen a book written Larry Parr and gone through comment made by GRANDMASTER YASSER SEIRAWAN (Four –time US chess champion) “ Tan Chin Nam is a grandmaster among chess patrons. He alsotells a grand story about a life of adventure, daring, filure and success. Not just long-lived, my dear friend has lived life to its fullest measure. Read about his “Rules of Life” and how he turnedhis dreams into reality.” I want share with my friends to think about success of Dato Tan:
“ When my children went out into the world, I had them write down these three points:
1. Marry whom you want, whatever their race or creed , but make sure that both you and your prospective partner in life understand each other’s language.
2. Do not harm, hurt or inconvenience people. By “harm” I mean employing force or fraud. By “hurt” I mean injuring feelings. Do not act exuberantly—pumping your fists in the air and shouting “ I win and you guys are chopped liver ! ” …………..Time is money” ….A Chinese proverb runs that a man”s body is not his own because of the demands of time.
3. Despise not any man and carp not at lesser objects, for there is not a man who has not his hour and a thing that has not its place. A policeman stops you, and you tell him. “ I am so incredibly important that my father is the combined cabinet of Malaysia.” He replies, “That’s no good, do you know who Ahmed is?” As it turns out, he is Ahmedand and hands you a traffic ticket. For this is Ahmads’s hour. And there are manyAhmeds and any such hours. Time wounds all heels but does not heel all wounds. Snubbed people come back to haunt you…………………………………..When I had chance for revenge, I stopped short.Forgiving your trespasers, as is urged in the Lord’s prayer, is not only the right thing to do. It is oftenthe wisest thing to do…………….
There are many other excellent experiences which I may shere with my friends in future or I can recomand reading book “Never say I assume!” It is realy wonderful.

“Chess like Music, has power to make men happy” S. Tarrasch
But he never lived in India otherwise he change it. Some time I feel many prime organizers in India never played or enjoyed game of chess or they don’t know ABC of game but still they are controlling players and dictating their terms even to the Grand masters. It may be top men or top women grandmasters ! Organizers have very big list of do and don’t or thereat of spoiling career ……….. or so on. Thereat Is powerful than execution hence happy ness is missing from game. It is like you put so may good food in front of got but keep one Tiger at next roof.
When I saw FIDE web site, which mentions “FIDE UNITING CHESS WORLD” Fide have very nice slogan “gens una sumus” (We are from one family and our game is one) Once I have seen in hand book page as under: Resolution
Approved by the 1979 Congress. Amended by the 1994 Congress.
Moral principles of FIDE for non-FIDE chess competitions.
1.The organizers and the players must be guided by the highest principles of the FIDE Statues:
1.FIDE is concerned exclusively with chess activities.
2. FIDE rejects discriminatory treatment for national, political, racial, social or religious reasons or on account of sex.
3. FIDE observes a strict neutrality in the internal affairs of the national chess federations.
2.in accord with its Statutes, FIDE reaffirms its commitment to the right to play chess and opposes all organized actions that would hinder that right.
3.It is understood that:
1. An organizer of a chess competition has the right to invite any chess player he chooses. Once an invitation has been issued and accepted, it must not be withdrawn.
2. Each player accepts an invitation only on his own free will but in strict accordance with the statutes and resolutions accepted by FIDE.
====================================
Above these lines shows FIDE believe in happiness and blieves right to play is a absolute right of player. It is choice of player where to play or where not ? We should believe in FIDE !
We should value the rights, freedom,& responsibility in our democratic society. We should involve in political process to ensure that our voice be heard & our vote is counted. This blog is only for our friends who love chess. Be happy and play more chess to bring happy ness in game of chess. Harsh

Litigation

एक बार बोत्विन्निक ने कहा "How many grat talents have been ruined for the simple reason that their owners were petty human beings।"
Rest in next.

Essencials for chess masters
I am really grateful to those who join me on this blog and encouraged by invaluable comments! I want to proceed one more step.
What is essential for a great chess player:
A. Once former world chess Champion Wilhelm Steinitz (1886-94)Made a statement that chess is a game not for timid.
B. Another world chess Champion Emmanuel Lasker (1894 to1921) made a statement that if he teach chess to a ordinary player for one hundred hours he will attain "A" category title.
After long contribution of great masters and years of development in chess A great player of chess and three times world chess champion Mikhail M. Botvinnik (1948-57, 58-60 & 61-63) made a statement that a chess players strength could be assessed by three essential factors viz;
A. Good health (Mentally and Physically) B. Character
C. Chess Talent. Apart from these three. Training and preparation will work to become great master. Before going in detail we recall a incident from the life of Swami Vivekanand. When a young boy came to swamiji to learn Bhagwat Geeta. After looking at him swamiji told him ‘ first you play foot ball two hrs daily for next six months and than come to learn about Geeta. Boy asked : what is relation with playing football and learning Geeta ? Swamiji replied “ Geeta was given by a “Senani” to “ Maharathi” when he was at battle field of “Mahabharata”. This requires developed mental frequencies with steel nerve system and stamina. If you attain this fitness you will be able learn Geeta in batter way. This is what told by Botvinnik for a chess player's strength.
** Now we talk about health and fitness in chess. Although chess is an intellectual exercise, it novolves nervous strain and a player is called on to bear heavy work load. Now a days two rounds in a day with small break brings total play of 8 to ten hours a day with competitive strain. In old time once Botvinnik quoted his own experience when his game in world chess Championship in 1961 was adjourned with Mikhail Tal after five hours tough fight over the board. Position was slight week for Botvinnik hence a sleepless night followed to analyze the game and he was hardly managed to sleep for two hrs. Again game resumed and his opponent also missing the chances but Botvinnik realized that he was mixing the lines due to mental tiredness. Game was again adjourned and one more sleepless night followed and it was not possible for Botvinnik to even lie down. Finally he got a draw and saved his game. This shows how much strength you require to reach at top level.
** Character : not only competitive character or wich to win, tenacity in efense, resourcefulness and penetration into the psychology of the opponent. It also matters that how a player behaves when he is not at the chess board, when he is not taking part in chess event. Indeed the daily routine of chess master has little in common with his competitive character. Whether a player sleeps at night or leads to hi fi life and only gets up in time for lunch, whether he takes part in sports or other hobby, whether he take care of his nervous system or careless for health, all these depends on the human side of his character, on his upbringing and self-education.
I think before we proceed on academic part of chess we should learn about key of success in chess and also in life.

Happy New year
Happy new year to my dear friends and chess lovers ,
One of my well wisher motivated me for blogging on chess for my friends. I am really grateful to him!
For me chess is a hobby at top priority and first priority to play and promote and motivate youngsters to become A- Category players of chess.
I believe Buckminster's view " All the children born talented; but out of 10,000 -- 9,999 moulded ordinary unknowingly by treatment of adults"
Before writing on chess talent I want to begin with swami Vivekananda on eve of 12th Jan
to understand attitude.
Real Personality :
Strength is life, Weakness is death
Strength is Felicity, life eternal, immortal, weakness is constant strain & misery; weakness is death. ***
Be not afraid of any thing. You will do Marvellous work. The moment you fear, you are no body.
Be a hero, always say, " I have no fear. Tell this every body. " Have no fear."
We want education by which character is formed.
Strength of mind is increased, the intellect is expanded, and by which one can stand on one's own feet. ***
Teach your self, teach every one, his real nature, call upon the sleeping soul & see how it awakened. Power will come, Glory will come, Goodness will come, Purity will come, and every thing that is excellent will come, when this sleeping soul is roused to self conscious activity.***
To be good and to do good that is the whole of religion.
Swami Vivekananda.
